Understanding Your Animals

Born and raised in Southeast Virginia, Erin was practically raised in a zoo. Or that is what most people would think! Her parents always fostered her love of animals and she grew up handling animals of all varieties, from the common dogs and cats, to wildlife, horses, and exotics.

Later she would work at the Virginia Zoo as a Docent and Keeper Aid, volunteer for nine years as the training coordinator for the Southeaster chapter of Virginia German Shepherd Rescue, several years as a veterinary assistant, two years handling Military Working Dogs at the Lackland AFB kennels, all while offering her training and handling skills under the New Leaf Canine name to pet owners in need.

With over 18 years of professional training and cross training, Erin has the knowledge and experience to help you with your pet’s needs!
